I live in Birkdale and love having such a good golf course and practice facilities in my backyard. My goal was to take a very weak game and get it somewhat respectable. With access to the Senior association that plays 4 days a week, and the Men’s group that play on Sundays, I have plenty of structured golf available to me. So far I have found all of the staff to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and courteous. I couldn’t ask for a better golfing experience than I’ve found at Birkdale!

Originally my wife and I were Birkdale only members, but since Mike Hatch purchased Brandermill Country Club, and now manages Lake Chesdin Golf Club, we now take advantage of all 3 courses. I have always enjoyed playing the game, but with complimentary access to a golf pro for tune-up lessons, playing golf is a lot more enjoyable. The continual reinvestment into the courses is better than anywhere else I have ever played and is a true testament to how much the owner cares about members enjoying the game of golf. My wife and I plan to take full advantage of this member benefit for many years to come.

Best golf club in the area! I played nearly everyday year round at Birkdale and the club just gets better and better. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The course is in great shape year round, and the greens are the best I’ve ever seen them. The green’s keeper does their best! Keep up the great work!

This course continues to improve so much but since the owner started to overseed the golf courses, they have been taken to another level. I originally decided to become a member of Birkdale, but recently moved my membership to Brandermill and now play at both courses 4 or 5 times a week. Friendly staff and the courses are in really good shape.

I judge a course by its amenities, condition, having a fair chance at making par, and, most importantly, its staff. For me, Birkdale has it all. The Monday night Mens league is a hit, and the weekend Men’s and Ladies group are well supported and it is a great way to meet people that live in Chesterfield.
